Benefits of Residential Concrete
Strength
More durable than wood and less expensive than steel.  Flexibility means it can be used for a wide variety of projects.  You can put domes on your houses or pillars and arches in your door way.

Very Popular
Concrete houses have exhisted since 1854, apparently people all the way back then knew what they were doing.  Concrete is one of the materials that are used the most for building homes including walls and floors.  The reason it is used so often is the concrete is easy to prepare.  All that you need is water, cement and aggregation and you have your foundation for a home.  Concrete can be used either for the whole home or just the floors that is entirely up to you.  How easy is that.

Low Cost
Houses normally start with a 20x30 slab of concrete which would usually run approximately $4-$8 a square foot. That's always going to vary by the kind of concrete and how thick the slab is.  You should expect to pay a base of at least $6 per square foot.  You're looking at $9-$28 a square foot to install brick siding.  So as you can see, concrete is not cheaper than wood however, it is cheaper and more flexible than steel.

Quick Setting
The average time it takes for a concrete house to be built is from 4 to 12 months.  That's not a long time to wait for a lifelong investment that you can customize and not call home.  If your only looking for a 20x30 slab, those are usually done in a matter of days.

Colorful
Think of how cool it would be to have a red concrete floor in the middle of your country kitchen.  When it comes to our residential concrete floors, stains, dyes and coatings make any color possible.  For example you can get purple, blue, yellow, red most of the colors on the prism.  You don't need to be afraid, you can let your creativity soar like an eagle.

Energy Efficiency
When building with concrete, it forms a continuous, solid and airtight wall. Concrete homes are extremely energy efficient.  They have no holes or cracks like wood or steel and require less energy to remainowither hot or cold.  Concrete block houses actually reflect heat.  Traditional brick hConcrete the other hand are always leaking air and catching drafts.

Low Maintenance
Along with reflecting heat, concrete blocks require very little maintenance.   To clean the outside of the house all you will need is either a hose or a power washer.  You can also paint your house with primer and paint however, it is not necessary.

Durability
Concrete houses are extremely durable.  They are known for standing longer than places built with other materials. There was a house in Mississippi that survived Hurricane Katrina.  Concrete construction made it able to withstand 180-220 mph winds and 28 foot flood waters.

Resistance
Similar to a brick house, concrete houses are fire resistant.  That's right, even if the inside catches fire, the house will come out unscathed.  Another benefit to concrete house are that they are both earthquake resistant and wind resistant.  One of the purposes of concrete walls is to withstand up to 250 mph winds and flying debris.  That's why most of the houses that survived Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers, Florida were the concrete houses.

Resists Rot Rust & Termites
Concrete walls are more durable than wood or steel.  Do not rot when exposed to moisture from the rain.  Termites  kill wood walls however, concrete walls do not get them.  Another thing to take into consideration is since the concrete walls do not contain any steel, they will not rust.

Healthy Homes
Because there are no cracks or holes in the walls, there are limits to the infiltration of outside allergens and germs. Not to mention, concrete walls naturally resist mold and mildew more than wood can.  Home owners complain of less head aches, nosebleeds or coughs not to mention less sinus infections.  Makes you wonder why all houses are not concrete doesn't it.

Sound Control
Concrete acts as a noise barrier.  It will diffuse the noise between the rooms as well as the sound of the outside traffic.  Concrete walls are however, quite handy when playing an instrument because of their acoustic abilities.

Environmentally Friendly
Concrete is one of the best building materials because of it being recyclable. When the structure is no longer needed it can be broken down and reused.  That means no more filling in the land fill.

Safety
Along  with not rotting or rusting,  concrete is proven to be very safe.  Once the concrete is sealed, it will not emit toxic compounds or any gases. Other ways you are being kept safe is by preventing pollen, dust and airborne pollutants along with of course fire and water .
